Piloted in spring 2022 at Spelman College, Explorations in Neuroscience is a new seminar course for freshmen/sophomores designed to "inspire and inform" students about the field of neuroscience. The course is team-taught by Dr. Mark Lee (Spelman College), Dr. Morris Benveniste (Morehouse School of Medicine), and Dr. Tari Tan (Harvard Medical School) and features case studies in sensory neurobiology to showcase exciting topics in neuroscience research and to connect neuroscience to students' lives. After its initial pilot, the course is now offered each spring for students across the Atlanta University Center.
